2020-21 Midget Program

The Valley Junior Warriors will be revamping the Midget National Bound Program for the 2020-21 season with the addition of a new Professional Staff and an enhanced Showcase Schedule, competing weekly against the top teams in the country!

The Warriors are proud to announce the addition of a new professional staff including new Program Director & Director of Scouting, Chris Hamel.  Hamel is an NHL scout for the Minnesota Wild and bring 20 years of NHL experience to the program.  The Warrior are also proud to announce a new professional coaching staff for the 2020-21 season including:

U18 Prep
  • Colin McDonald (U18) - Colin grew up in Milford NJ and played four season for the UNH Wildcats in HockeyEast, and was named captain his senior seasons.  After fighting through a couple career-threatening injuries during college Colin played professional in the ECHL with Florida Everblades and Indy Fuel. McDonald currently resides in South Boston and works for Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical.

U15 Prep
  • Andrew Andricopoulos (U15) – Andrew grew up in Groveland and attended Tabor before moving to Quebec City to play for the Quebec Remparts in the QMJHL.  Andrew played for and lived with NHL Hall of Famer Patrick Roy and was a member of the 2006 Memorial Cup Championship team. Andrew payed professional in the ECHL/AHL for the Washington Capitals and San Jose Shark organizations. Andrew is currently a scout for the QMJHL and has coached for the last three seasons at Brooks School and the Valley Jr. Warriors. 
  • Michael Settipani (U15) - Settipani comes to the Warriors with 5 years of coaching experience. Settipani, a resident of Charlestown MA, is currently the Assistant Coach at the Brooks School in North Andover. Settipani has also coached for Charlestown Youth Hockey, Arlington Catholic, and the U15 River Rats. As a player, Settipani attended Arlington Catholic High School, where he was an instrumental part in his team winning the Division 1 MIAA State Championship in 2010. Settipani later played at the prep school level for Hebron Academy before attending Southern New Hampshire University, where he played as a forward until 2015. Outside of coaching, Settipani works full-time in hockey operations and administration for the Valley Hockey League.

 The Warrior will also be revamping their training regimen and showcase schedule in order to offer Elite players the opportunity to train with and compete against the best players in North American throughout the Fall season.

All three Midget Teams (U18, U16, U15) will play the following schedule:

  • River Rats Jamboree
  • ECC Labor Day Showcase
  • 3 E9 Prep Showcases against the top teams in the country (River Rats, Boston Advantage, Springfield Rifles, Mount St Charles, EC Wizards, 95 Giants?)
  • 1 Beast League/E9 combined Showcase
  • 1 Beast Showcase (Yale) or Beantown
  • 2 Practices/Skills sessions available weekly with renowned coaching staff
  • Additional option to include Off-Ice Training.
