Kyle_Haines96x120.jpgFor the second week in a row, Kyle Haines stepped to the plate offensively for the Valley Junior Warriors. As a result of his stellar play, Haines was recognized by the Eastern Junior Hockey League as its EJHL Offensive Player of the Year.

Following a weekend where he amassed four assists, Haines came through once again by scoring one goal and two assists in the Warriors' two games. As a result of his recent offensive explosion, Haines now stands third overall in team scoring with 10 goals and 21 assists in 35 games.

Last weekend, Haines played a role in three of the team's four goals on the weekend. On Saturday night, Haines netted a power-play goal early on in the contest against the Jersey Hitmen and then assisted on the team's second goal of the game. The following night, Haines continued his stellar special teams play by registering another assist on the power play.

The Topsfield resident is one of the team's best two-way players and is a key member of the penalty-kill unit.
