VJW Junior A Team Sweeps Weekend to Move Up EHL Standings
Hunter Wilhoite
This past weekend, the VJW Junior A squad notched a weekend sweep with two key league victories and continue to move up the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) standings.

The Warriors are currently ranked second in the Boston Division with a 6-4-0 record. On Friday, the team blanked the Boston Junior Rangers by a score of 4-0 and then came through just two days later with an impressive 6-2 victory over previously undefeated Walpole Express!

In a game in which the Warriors dominated play (they pelted the Walpole netminder with 46 shots), the team came back from two early deficits by scoring five unanswered goals beginning at the 14:17 mark of the second period. It marked the fourth straight win for the Warriors in a streak that dates back to October 11.

Scoring his first goal of the season was second-year defenseman Hunter Wilhoite (Brentwood, TN). Hunter recently took some time to answer a few questions to help us learn more about this talented right hander, whose advice to the young VJW players is to "
Never quit on your dreams and don't let anyone tell you you can't reach them."

See his answers below and look for more of these answers from VJW Junior A players this coming season.
