During a week in which the top teams in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) were taking part in the Columbus Day Showcase, the VJW program was taking center stage on the EHL web site.
A destination site for top collegiate coaches and NHL scouts, the EHL web site highlighted the many former VJW players - from youth and junior ranks - who are now playing key roles on top Division I teams.
In addition to the collegiate stars (click here to read that complete article), former youth stars Chris Kreider of the New York Rangers and the New Jersey Devils' Cory Schneider are also off to strong starts for their respective NHL teams.
Schneider, who has trained at Stop it Goaltending since his freshman year in High School, has solidified his spot as the top netminder for the Devils (read more). His team is off to an impressive 2-0 start and leads the way in the Eastern Conference's Metropolitan Division.
Kreider is another outstanding player who
grew up playing for the Warrior youth teams. He is slated to be one of
