Valley Jr Warriors Youth Teams Continue NEHL Player of the Week Streak
Three Warrior players were recognized for outstanding play during the last two weeks of November.
In recent highlights posted by the New England Hockey League (NEHL), Connor Sweeney (’00 Elites), NickCafarelli (’01 Elites) and Colby Magliozzi (’02 Elites) were named Players of the Week for their respective divisions.
It continues what has been an impressive stretch for the Warriors. At least one Warrior has been named a Player of the Week in all but one week dating back to September 8th.
In the most recent weeks, Sweeney
earned his honor by scoring two goals and adding an assist in a 4-1 win
against the Vipers. He also netted what proved to be the game winner in a
6-4 defeat of Vermont. The VJW ’00 Elites are currently 9-2-2 in NEHL
American Division play.
Cafarelli was equally dominant as he scored three goals in a game where
the Warriors topped the Titans by a score of 4-1. He netted three more
in his teams’ very next game for a six-goal explosion in two games!
Through 17 games, the VJW ’01 Eites have scored an impressive 71 goals
and allowed just 32 goals.
Magliozzi, meanwhile, drew the attention of the league when he
scored a game-winning tally with just 14 seconds left in a game against
the Titans. Magliozzi finished that game with 1 goal and 1 assist. To read all of the NEHL highlights, click here.
