Fresh off a championship victory at the 2013 Warrior Thanksgiving Tournament where the team notched six straight wins over a four-day period, the VJW '00 Elite squad were rewarded for their strong play by being ranked 12th in the nation, according to www.myhockeyrankings.com.

This represents a 12-spot jump for the Warriors, which had been ranked 24th in the nation heading into the holiday weekend.
It should have come as no surprise given that the Warriors have shown the country that they are one of the best. To wit, the team has won 17 out of its last 18 games and have not suffered a loss since October 12.
Earlier this season, the squad was triumphant at the 2013 East Coast Classic Prep Cup Tournament, which featured some of the nation's top talent. During that six-game tournament, the Warriors knocked off formidable foes including the then 15th-ranked Long Island Royals.
To date, the Warriors boast a 25-5-3 overall record and are one of only two Bay State-based teams ranked in the top 20 in the nation.
The VJW '00 Elites are now the second VJW team to be ranked in the top 15. The VJW '97 Elites finished the fall season with a Massachusetts State Championship title and a #15 ranking (click here to see the 2013-14 USA Midget 16U - Tier 1 Rankings).
