VJW Summer Discounts at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning
mbsc_altlogo_FINAL_lg.jpgSince September 2011, the Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning Center has been operating on the mezzanine level of the Haverhill Valley Forum and serving as the strength and conditioning home for the Valley Junior Warriors program.

An important component of the VJW training and development program includes weekly, in-season plyometric training by  Mike Boyle Strength & Conditioning which features what is considered the top hockey and athletic training staff in the country.

In addition to the in-season training program (
Click here to review a complete list of VJW program offerings), players are also welcome to take advantage of a special summer discount that is being offered to all VJW players.

VJW players will receive a 15% discount on the MBSC Summer Performance Training Program designed specifically for hockey players. This is an opportunity for hockey players who want to improve strength, speed and conditioning to enter the season in game-ready shape.

The summer sessions (see below for program options) will run from June 18th through August 28th. All sessions are 1.5 hours long.

  • 2 DAY PROGRAM (Mon/Wed), (Tues/Thurs), - \$505 (regular price \$595)
  • 4 DAY PROGRAM (Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs) - \$1015 (regular price \$1195)
The MBSC team is led by Mike Boyle, who is recognized internationally for his pioneering work in the field of strength and conditioning and is regarded as one of the top experts in the area of sports performance training.

For more than 25 years he has worked with the Boston University hockey team and he currently helps to train the United States Women’s Olympic hockey team. Along the way he has trained top collegiate and professional athletes from the Boston Bruins, Boston Red Sox, Boston Breakers and New England Revolution.

His client list over the years includes such local notables as Cam Neely, Ray Bourque and Nomar Garciaparra. Boyle is joined by a phenomenal team of professionals at his Woburn and North Andover facilities as well as the newest facility that opened on the mezzanine level of the Haverhill Valley Forum.

About the Performance Training Program

This comprehensive 1.5 hour long program is designed for hockey players to enhance athletic performance. The first 40 minutes of the workout is spent on movement which includes, stretching, activation, active warm up, linear and lateral speed development, quickness, plyometrics (jumping), and core strengthening. The second part of the workout is dedicated to explosive power using the Olympic lifts, increasing overall body strength and various forms of conditioning. This program is very similar to the workouts all varsity athletes do at Boston University.

This is an opportunity for hockey players who want to improve strength, speed and conditioning to enter the season in game ready shape.
