Josh Woody Named EJHL Offensive Player of the Week
The Valley Jr Warriors Junior A team is coming off a two-win weekend sweep of the Phiadelphia Revolution. Leading the charge offensively was Josh Woody(Sunderland, MD), who exploded for five goals in two games. As a result of his strong play, Woody was recognized as the Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJHL) Offensive Player of the Week.
On Saturday at Philadelphia, Woody scored four goals to lead his team to an 8-1 victory. The following day he added another goal to finish +5 for the weekend. Woody currently stands second on the team with 15 goals and has posted 27 points this season.
The Warriors - winners of 11 of their last 14 games - currently stand third in the Northern Division and look forward to an important weekend of play where they will face off against the Huskies on Friday and then Capital District on Saturday and Sunday.
All three games will be played at the Haverhill Valley Forum, and spectators are encouraged to come cheer on the Warriors!
