VJW Junior A Forward Mark Meads Commits to Bentley University
There may still be many games remaining in the VJW Junior A season, but one player is already looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead.
Forward Mark Meads(Middleton, MA) has signed on to play for Bentley University for the 2012-13 season.
“They are going to rely on him initially to be that defensive type of forward,” said AndyHeinze, head coach/GM of the Junior A squad. “But if he gains confidence, he can contribute offensively.”
Meads has enjoyed an outstanding season with the Warriors and is one of the key players on the penalty-killing unit. Through 28 games, he has scored five goals and added 10 assists.
“For us he has been a real steady two-way player and has the ability to
contribute on the offensive end,” said Heinze of the 5-6, 160-pounds

The Bentley Falcons (7-5-5 AHA) are tied for sixth in the league
standings with Holy Cross and UConn, all with 19 points, and are just
three points out of a potential first round bye in the postseason.
Meads and his Warriors teammates, meanwhile, will next be in action
this weekend at the Warwick Rink where they will take on Philadelphia.
