The 2011 Super 8 showdown between Malden Catholic and St. John’s Prep Danvers came down to the wire and stands as one of the most memorable finals in recent memory. In the end, the powerhouse Malden Catholic prevailed on overtime by a score of 4-3. It was the program’s first Super 8 championship and the first hockey title of any kind since 1974.
Featured in that game were 17 former Valley Jr Warrior players who have taken their skills to Malden Catholic or St. John’s Prep.
