Sarig, Braun, Heinze & Nazarian Selected as Junior All Stars

The Eastern Junior Hockey League will be hosting the 2011 EJHL All-Star Game this month... and the Valley Jr Warriors will be well represented.

Junior A defensive standout
Zach Sarig (Wyommissing, PA) and offensive stalwart Trevor Braun (Windham, ME) earned a spot on the EJHL's North Roster, while red-hot Ara Nazarian (Boxford, MA)the Junior B's top scorer - will compete in the Empire Hockey League's All-Star game. Both games will take place on January 17th (Martin Luther King Day) at the Tri-Town Ice Arena in Hooksett, New Hampshire.

who is competing in his second season with the Warriors, has collected six goals and 14 assists in 30 games, He uses his size (he stands at 6-3 and 230 pounds) and physical play to dominate games. This past September, Sarig's outstanding play was recognized by league officials and coaches when he was named EJHL Defensive Player of the Week.

Despite suffering an injury this season, Braun has been one of the most consistent offensive producers for the Warriors. In just 22 games, Braun has netted 11 goals and 5 assists .

Joining Sarig and Braun on the North Team bench will be VJW head coach/general manager Andy Heinze. A two-time EJHL Coach of the Year, Heinze will serve as coach along with Sean Tremblay (NH Jr Monarchs) and Peter Masters (Junior Bruins).

Representing the VJW at the Empire Hockey League All-Star game will be Junior B standout
Ara Nazarian (Boxford, MA). The youngest forward on Stu Irving’s Warrior squad has exploded onto the Empire Hockey League scene this season and currently leads the Warriors in scoring with 25 goals and 15 assists in just 24 games. His offensive prowess has been so dominating that he also ranks sixth in scoring for the Empire Hockey League. Click here to learn more about this rising star!
