The Valley Jr Warriors Junior A team made it two in a row this weekend with a pair of key league victories against Apple Core. On Friday, the Warriors stormed back from an early deficit and scored three times in the second and third period to pull out the 7-5 win. Andrew Bonazza scored twice, while Marcus Moles, John Rogeri, Kevin Holmes and Brett Mason and Cody Incollingo also lit the lamp in the winning effort.
The following afternoon, the Warriors continued where they left off just hours before with a 6-2 victory. Connor McStravick put the Warriors on the board first with a shorthanded tally at the 10:20 mark of the first period and set the tone for the rest of the game. Also scoring for the Warriors were John Daniels, Max Lorenzen, Cody Incollingo, Josh Woody and Sam Smith. Greg Hussey collected 31 saves en route to his second win in two days. The Warriors head into Thanksgiving break on a two-game win streak. The team returns home to Haverhill on December 5th for a key league matchup with the Bay State Breakers.
