'Tis that time of the year we all have lists. Wish lists, Christmas
lists, shopping lists, "to do" lists. Well I have a list of my own and feel
free to drop me a note if you come across any items on my list.
For starters I
would like to see a healthy Tim Thomas. Not sure what is ailing him, but a
healthy Tim Thomas is a happy Tim Thomas and a happy Tim Thomas is a productive
Tim Thomas. Give me five Rajon Rondo's and my team is a lock for an NBA title.
Same goes for the indestructible Wes Welker who has more endurance than the Eveready
While you’re at it look for a pair of Winter Classic tickets and toss in
a couple of tickets for the BC-BU game at Fenway on January 8th.
Find me a rink where a parent isn’t yelling
at an official, or worse, a player. I’m
always on the lookout for the parent who tells a player that a 5-0 loss "isn’t
the end of the world" and heads for the nearest pizza shop, ice cream parlor or
McDonalds where 5-0 losses disappear in a hurry.
Find me player who thanks mom or dad for
those early morning and late night drives to faraway rinks and for the bagful
of equipment in the trunk. I’m always on the lookout for the people who believe
that you don’t always have to finish first to be a winner.
That’s my list and if I get half of what I’m asking - it
will be a very, very Happy Holiday!
