09 April Newsletter

Dear Players,
Congratulations once again on being selected as a member of the 2009-10 Valley Jr Warriors program. We were pleased with the high level of talent that was on display at tryouts this past March. You should be extremely proud of your accomplishment. Please know that our experienced staff is commited to providing you a highly competitive and supportive environment where you will be able to maximize the development of your individual athletic skills to a National level of prominence.

First Practice Sessions
It's hard to believe but the first practice sessions of the season will be held this week at the Haverhill Valley Forum. You should have received a letter in the mail which notes the date and time of your team practice session. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your head coach. In addition to ice time, our staff will host a brief parent orientation meeting at the first practice session which will include a tour of the facility. All players will also be measured for their personal VJW jacket.

Summer Strength Training Schedule
As one of the many benefits of being a Warrior, all teams (except for the Mites and Squirt Minor Selects) participate in once a week off-ice training in Haverhill. This training is conducted by Athletic Evolution, which boasts one of the top certified training staffs in New England. Each team’s regimen is tailor made in order to provide the most beneficial and age appropriate training.

In addition to this 30-week schedule, all players are welcome to supplement this program with additional off-season strength training with Athletic Evolution between the months of April through September. The staff at Athletic Evolution has released its spring and summer schedule for both Haverhill and Woburn (see below). All VJW players receive a discounted rate on this spring and summer program.

VJW Contacts... Here to Serve You
