The ’97 VJW Select team has been busy both on and off the ice. The young Warriors players have been using their sport to raise money for a worthy cause.
For the past 10 weeks, the Warriors players have been participating in the 5000 Puck Challenge for Charity in order to raise money for the Susan G Komen for the Cure! This 10-week challenge asks each player to shoot 300 pucks per week and seek donations for their efforts.
At the end of the 10-week period, the players collected their donations and made a contribution on behalf of the entire Warriors team. In total, the ’97 VJW Select team raised \$1,215.
Congratulations go out to all of the players and coaching staff for participating in such a wonderful program.
