This high-level showcase will begin on Thursday, November 6 at 6:00 p.m. when the host Valley Jr Warriors take on EJHL foe Bridgewater Bandits at the Haverhill Valley Forum.

“The Warrior Classic is always a terrific event for us,” said Andy Heinze, head coach/general manager of the Valley Junior Warriors. “We hope that the local community will come out to the rinks and see some spectacular hockey. It’s not often that young players are able to watch high-level hockey played right on their doorsteps.”

This year’s showcase will take place at the Valley Forum in Haverhill and Lawrence and at Merrimack College’s J. Thom Lawler Arena. Highlighting this year’s field is the host Valley Junior Warriors, which compete in Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJHL) play and are led by top scorers Eric Peterson, Jordan Sims and Nick Marquis.

“We have a competitive league schedule, but we always look forward to [the Warrior Classic],” Heinze said. “It’s a special event because it brings together so many outstanding teams from all over the country. And we think we have another strong field this year.”

In addition to the top teams from the EJHL and Empire League, a host of Independent teams from all across North America will join the field this year. Included in that impressive list of programs are the Philadelphia Little Flyers, Space Coast Hurricanes, Boston Advantage, Little Bruins, Portland Pirates, Northwood School, Philadelphia Jr Flyers, Dynamiques, Ontario Hockey Academy and National Sports Academy.

Game summaries and results for all games will be posted online at www.jrwarriors.com throughout the four-day showcase.

Mark Your Calendars… later this month the Haverhill Valley Forum and the Valley Jr Warriors organization will host the 1st Annual Warrior Thanksgiving Tournament. This youth tournament will feature 50 teams from across the country competing in five divisions! Check back to the web site for a tournament schedule and more details.
